A merger between Klavins Ellex and GLIMSTEDT & Partners has created Latvia’s largest law firm and a giant in the Baltics.

Operating under the name Klavins Ellex, the new firm will have 278 lawyers across offices in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, making it a heavyweight in the Baltic legal market and the largest law firm in Latvia, with 47 lawyers and 13 support staff to be based in the country.

The firm will offer wide-ranging advice, with M&A, banking and finance, dispute resolution, competition, real estate, labor, tax and IP, according to the firm.

Klavins Ellex managing partner Filips Klavins commented: ‘The main objective of the merger is to provide additional benefits to our clients.
