3c6c25eChadbourne & Parke announced that corporate, banking and finance attorney Haluk Bilgiç  joined the firm’s affiliated Turkish office in Istanbul. Bilgiç joins the firm from Özdirekcan Bilgiç Dündar, the Turkish correspondent firm of Gide, where he headed their banking and finance practice. With Mr. Bilgiç’s arrival, Chadbourne’s Turkish affiliated practice is now Bilgiç Avukatlık Ortaklığı (Bilgiç Attorney Partnership).

“Chadbourne continues to expand its Turkish corporate practice. Haluk’s experience enhances our capabilities for both domestic and international clients in inbound and outbound transactions,” said Ayşe Yüksel, managing partner of Chadbourne’s Istanbul office.

“Haluk joins Çağdaş Selvi, who helped launch our corporate finance practice last year. Our clients both in Turkey and the EMEA region will greatly benefit from this move,” Yüksel added in a statement.

Bilgiç’s practice spans over 16 years and is a blend of corporate and finance work, with a focus on project and corporate financings, capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions and commercial matters, according to a firm release. He has advised foreign banks, financial institutions and multinationals on numerous cross border transactions.

Prior to joining Gide’s Turkish affiliate Bilgiç worked at Birsel Law Offices.
