Clifford Chance’s China head of litigation and arbitration Patrick Zheng has joined Clyde & Co as Beijing office managing partner, The Lawyer reported.
Zheng, who is set to play an active part in developing Clyde’s presence in China and Korea, is the firm’s second high-profile litigation and arbitration lateral hire this week.
Yesterday it was announced that Eversheds’ Middle East chairman Chris Jobson had joined the firm as a partner in Abu Dhabi (14 July 2014).
Zheng is a Chinese national specialising in international arbitration and both onshore and offshore China-related dispute resolution.
His addition to the firm brings it to 18 partners and over 150 total staff members across its Greater China network.
