pragueCzech firm Tomicek Legal and Slovak firm Fox Martens have joined forces to create a regional referral network. CEE Attorneys will operate with an aim to expand across the region to the other ‘Visegrad Group’ countries (including Hungary and Poland) in addition to surrounding Central and Eastern European jurisdictions.

According to The Lawyer, “Tomicek founding partner Zdenek Tomicek said CEE Attorneys was currently in negotiations with a number of local firms regarding their potential membership of the network. Tomicek added that it would consider further expansion depending on how the first stage of development progressed.”

Michal Martinak, a partner at Fox Martens, further indicated that all prospective candidates would be thoroughly vetted in an extensive screening process to ensure regional clients could expect to receive consistently excellent service from all members.

Per The Lawyer, “the establishment of CEE Attorneys is designed to help both founding firms compete and offer cross-border advice.” This type of network has already been employed in surrounding markets, including South East Europe.
