imagesTwo in five general counsel at companies in America’s South say that international expansion is a driver of business growth, but 11 percent surveyed said international compliance was a major legal concern for their companies.

Many of the GCs surveyed also expressed fear that by restricting the use of outside law firms, they could increase their company’s exposure if risks were missed or specific skills were not available in-house.

The research was carried out by ALM Legal Intelligence of companies with revenues over $1 billion.
