Private Practice

Morgan Lewis announced new Chair Jami Wintz McKeon. McKeon has experience in handling high stakes litigation and counsels Fortune 100 companies on complex legal and regulatory issues and will be taking over from Francis Malone.

Buse Heberer Fromm welcomed new partner Stefan Pooth to their office in Dusseldorf. His industry focus is on public transportation and regional rail transportation.  He also has experience in the energy market.

Dentons introduced a new associate in the banking and finance practice, Kseniya Ostrovska, to their Kyiv office. Ostrovska has seven years’ experience in banking and finance including advising foreign and local banks on raising capital as well as cross-border financing transactions.

Jones Day hired banking and finance partner Justin Conway who will be working in their London office. Conway was formally a partner at DLA Piper in London, gaining experience in servicing funds and investment banks in their debt trading and purchase activities.

Orrick announced two new partners, Shawn Atkinson and Michael Crosby, in their office in London. Atkinson is experienced in late stage venture transactions in Europe and emerging markets. He also advises private equity funds, technological companies and venture capital funds. Crosby will be involved in representing alternative credit funds, hedge funds private equity sponsors and banks in leveraged financings across Europe.

Pinsent Masons hired a new environment partner Georgie Messent in their London office, the firm announced in September. Messent has experience in environmental advice, advising private and public organizations on environmental and health & safety regulatory matters and risk management.

Squire Patton Boggs introduces new addition to the London team Aline Doussin. Doussin has joined from DLA Piper where she gained experience in trade negotiations, broad market access and trade compliance matters.

In House

Teva Pharmaceuticals appointed Gabor Antal as associate general counsel in Hungary. Antal has background knowledge in compliance, risk, and sensitive investigations as well as tax and restructuring and insolvency.

The AA welcomed Mark Millar as general counsel.  Millar previously working as general counsel for Domino’s Pizza. In his new job role at the AA, Millar will be in charge of a team of 10 solicitors and has previous experience in private practice roles as well as in house.
