Private Practice

Boodle Hatfield appointed Sara Maccallum in their London office September 15.  She will be the first female senior partner taken on by the firm in the last 300 years. Maccallum has more than 15 years of experience advising clients at the firm and will be taking over from Richard Maughan.

 Bird & Bird hired Willem Bongaerts as partner in the Netherlands office, the firm announced in September. Bongaerts has experience in tax law as well as European investment and real estate investment funds gained at Loyens & Loeff where he was previously employed.

Bird & Bird  announced that partner Michel Matas joined the Paris office September 16. His background includes involvement in the telecoms market and advising clientele on communication disputes and infrastructure projects.

Chadbourne & Parke welcomed Haluk Bilgic to their office in Istanbul September 12. Bilgic has many  experience in corporate & finance work, capital markets transactions and mergers & acquisitions.

Linklaters named Stuart Bedford as Corporate head in their London office September 12. Bedford was previously a member of ‘The Lawyers’ hot 100, and recently advised on a deal to secure mobile telephone networks across Myanmar with law firms Allens and Squire Sanders.

Norton Rose Fulbright continues to expand its team with the introduction of new partner Nils Rahlf who joined the Frankfurt office September 10. Rahlf advises clients and financial investors on strategic financial investments across private equity and venture capital aspects.
