imagesAs Britain prepares to vote on whether to leave the European Union it is interesting to ask what the lawyers think about all this.

So a recent poll conducted by legal recruitment specialist Douglas Scott asked 500 legal professionals, including 300 lawyers, whether or not they would vote for the UK to remain in the European Union in the upcoming referendum.

According to Legal Check It seems that a narrow majority of lawyers want a Brexit with 57 percent saying that they will back the Vote Stay campaign.

According to the recent poll 35 percent of the sample said they would vote to leave. Seven percent were undecided.

The majority of lawyers wanting to stay were from Scotland, which just had a referendum on whether to break from the UK. The Scots were 91 percent stay.

The script was flipped in Wales where 67 percent aid they wanted out.

In the Southwest of England and London the stay vote was considerably higher. In London 66 percent of lawyers want to remain in the EU.
