Ismail Esin
Esin Attorney Partnership, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International, has been named Turkish law firm of the year by Chambers & Partners, a leading law firm ranking guide.
The firm received the award for National Law Firm of the Year in Turkey at the 2014 Chambers Europe Awards held in London April 24. Managing Partner Ismail Esin accepted the award.
“We are pleased to receive the national award, an achievement not only of our team in Istanbul, but of the firm regionally due to our strong working relationships with Baker & McKenzie offices across EMEA, allowing us to advise clients on some of Turkey’s most significant cross-border transactions,” Esin said. “We plan to build on this recognition of the firm’s leading position in the Turkish market for years to come.”
In the 2014 Chambers Global rankings released last month, Esin Attorney Partnership ranked in Band 1 for Corporate/M&A and Ismail Esin maintained his leading individual Band 1 distinction for Corporate/M&A and Band 2 distinction for Dispute Resolution.
The firm ranked highly in other areas as well including Dispute Resolution (Band 2), Corporate/M&A International (Band 2), Capital Markets (Band 3) and Projects & Energy (Band 3). Daniel Matthews, managing partner of Baker & McKenzie Consultancy Services Attorney Partnership in Istanbul, maintained his Band 1 leading individual distinction for Banking & Finance, and Esin partner Türker Yöndem joined the rankings as a leading individual in Projects & Energy.
Chambers & Partners publishes the Chambers Guide, a leading international legal guide, which covers 185 jurisdictions throughout the world. Each year Chambers holds the Chambers Europe Awards to recognize the best law firms and lawyers in the European legal market.
