Erwan Le Douce-Bercot

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has lost its entire Paris real estate team to Jones Day.

The four-person team  is led by partner Erwan Le Douce-Bercot who had headed the Freshfields’ Paris group and focuses on property transactions, commercial leases and real estate litigation. He is followed by three associates — – Solene Maulard, Flavia Poujade and Alix Pallier — and will head the Jones Day real estate practice in Paris.

Le Douce-Bercot, Maulard and Poujade joined Freshfields in 2013 from French firm Gide Loyrette Nouel, while Pallier joined the firm in 2016. Sophie Hagege, Jones Day’s Paris leader, described the move as a very strategic and timely addition while David Roberts, a leading London real estate partner at Jones Day, said that the team brought ‘broad, multinational experience’ to its real estate practice in Paris.

“Their demonstrated ability to structure major transactions, negotiate lease agreements, deal with any real estate-related litigation, and advise clients in every area of real estate, will be a valuable resource for our clients in Paris’s competitive property market and across Europe, ” Roberts said.
