Allen & Overy promote 33 lawyers to Counsel globally, they include 15 offices across Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region. The majority of Counsel will be working with the Finance or Corporate teams.

Bird & Bird welcomes Morten Brehm Jensen as Partner to the firms’ Corporate/M&A practice in their Denmark office. Jensen has previous experience in company law and tax law issues including drafting and composing commercial contracts.

Burges Salmon introduces six lawyers to Partnership, all of which started off as trainees at the firm. The new Partners include Lloyd James, Jonathan Eves, Richard Pettit, Matthew Sims, James Sutherland, and Nathan Curtis.

Clifford Chance appoints 25 new partners to its global partnership across a range of practice areas and global offices, including Capital markets, Litigation and Dispute resolution, Finance, Real Estate and Corporate.

Dentons announce the promotion of 10 lawyers to Partner, Jeremy Cohen, Anas Akel, Akin Akinbode, Dan Bodle, Andrew Cheung, Anna Copeman, Andrew Figgins, Ian Fox, Gurbinder Grewal, Roy Pinnock, and Andrew Thornton. They will be based in the UK, Middle East and Africa, six of which will be based in London.

DLA Piper boosts their competition team with the hiring of Daniel Colgan as a partner, who will be joining the firm in Brussels. Colgan gained specific experience advising clients in industries such as transport, logistics and energy.

Linklaters expand their teams in Milan, London and Madrid after promoting two lawyers to Partner and one to Counsel. Lucio D’Amario specializes in cross-border matters and competition and will be joining the Milan office. Natura Gracia gained experience advising clients in merger control, state aid, utilities regulation and public procurement and will be joining their London office. Fredrik Löwhagen will be joining as Counsel and will be based in Madrid and specializes is global merger control.

Webber Wentzel introduces Gareth Driver to their office in Johannesburg as Partner in their Corporate/ M&A Practice. Driver specializes in corporate law, M&A, public offerings and private transactions. The appointments come as part of Webber Wenzel overall mission to be dominant in South Africa.
