Altius appoints Olivier Vrins as Vice-Chair of the ECTA Anti-Counterfeiting committee.  ECTA’s task is to promote the knowledge of members and owners in the fields of trademarks, designs and other Intellectual Property rights, within the European Union.

 Baker & McKenzie appoints two new counsel; Guillaume Nataf and Nadège Dallais, who will both be based in Paris.  Guillaume specializes in multi-jurisdictional transactions in mergers and acquisitions including team management, negotiation and the establishment of joint ventures, and the drafting and negotiation of shareholder agreements. Nadège gained previous experience in general labor law in individual or collective labor relations and advises on issues related to employment contracts, working time and transactions.

DLA Piper welcomes David Broderick who will be joining the firm’s Finance Practice as Partner based in New York. David focuses on all aspects of real estate finance and the restructuring and workout of inter-creditor, co-lender and other capital market structures.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer hires Ward McKimm as Partner. Ward is one of the leading high yield lawyers in Europe with a strong practice advising issuers, sponsors and underwriters. He will join as co-head of the firm’s European Leveraged Finance Group.

Osborne Clarke has expanded its Hamburg office with the arrival of Corporate Partner Dr. Fabian Christoph. Fabian will be focusing on Corporate Law and M&A transactions. He has previous experince in the areas of Capital Markets law, Restructurings and Energy law.

White & Case welcomes Farhad Jalinous as Partner in its Washington, DC office. Farhad, will head the National Security and CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) Practice. He advises clients on the regulatory aspects of investing in the United States, in particular CFIUS reviews of foreign direct investment in areas related to US national security.
